The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (E&BASR) is a heritage railway in North Yorkshire, England, (formed in 1979). It is part of the former Midland Railway branch from Skipton to Ilkley (which closed down in 1965 14 years earlier): the E&BASR currently runs from Embsay via Halton East and Draughton to Bolton Abbey station, a distance of 4 miles (6 km). There are plans to extend the line back to Addingham (where a replica LMS Midland style train station and goods yard are being considered / as the old original station and goods sites have been redeveloped as housing) and also up to Skipton where passengers can interchange with trains on the Airedale Line in the future.
